Or shurder. WhatevKev.
I should feel some remorse for annihilating another pair of innocent shoes, but really, I never will. They were not my type anyway. Cushioning: ASICS KANBARRA 2: Dead after something like 400 miles.
My new victims are in the mail: Stability: ASICS Gel 1130 - Black, Onyx, Kiwi. They shall last me until the marathon in April, I hope, and maybe the 7k if I'm quiet enough.
I think I'm posting updates here instead of noting the shit out of FaceBook. It made sense to me, anyway.

And now for today's regularly scheduled posting:
Marathon training, miles, and winter time.
Kind of a neat experience, though its conception is slightly flawed. The biggest problem with running at this time of year is that the weather is highly prohibitive. I need to get a 10 miler into my schedule in two weeks, probably right around the coldest weekend of the year. Hallelujah.
The cold doesn't bother me so much as the lack of variety I can shove into my runs does. I'm consistently limited to paved thoroughfares, which suck because they're often poorly plowed or shared with vehicular traffic. It seems like the timing of my run always coincides with the hour that every driver with an anger management issue decides to get in his speeding metal deathtrap and go after me.
I love the training, tolerate the weather, am working with the miles. the mileage bump was grueling at first, but I'm feeling it now.
